  • Dr. Laura was the single greatest source of solace and support for me when I was dealing with the chronic illnesses of my two beautiful girls, Ginseng and Micki. I rescued them as kittens and they traveled with me all over the country when I was on active duty. After returning home to Florida, they were diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. Both survived the odds for 5 years with lots of love and care in their later years. They lived a long life with me of about 20 years. But even with that time together, I was devastated when their time came and I had to let them go. I was confused and having a lot of emotional distress over decisions that I did not want to make or face. I even cry now when I think about it. I was fortunate enough to have someone refer me to Dr. Laura. She has one of the most gentle, kind, and compassionate hearts I have ever known. She loves and respects all living creatures, most of all those who walk on all fours. She comforted me and helped me get through some of the worst moments and decisions of my life. At the same time, she made a difficult transition peaceful and serene. There was no fear, discomfort, or pain. Just love and a chance for me to say I love you my friend and good-bye until we meet again. I would never trust anyone else but Dr. Laura. In fact, years later I searched for her when a stray cat I was taking care of, my little boy Skittles, was stricken with melanoma. Dr. Laura was there for me again, and I knew it would be okay even though it wasn't any easier to lose my friend. I have met other doctors who claim they do hospice and terminal care but they are not created the same. Some are just doing this as a business and they don't have the same dedication or integrity. With Dr. Laura, this is a calling and I would not trust my pets with anyone else but her. When the time comes again, and I hope its not too soon, she will be the only one I call. I would urge anyone who is facing this type of crisis to call Dr. Laura for the sake of your pet and your own peace of mind. To me, she was truly an angel sent to me in my moment of need. Thank you Dr. Laura!!

  • My 13 year old cat Potter was suddenly diagnosed with a pancreatic tumor in May 2020. The vet’s recommendation was to euthanize sooner rather than later and not to wait more than 4 days as his liver was going to fail. I was sitting in the vet parking lot trying to process this shock and wanting to take Potter home for at least one more night. I knew that Potter, being blind, would want to spend his last days at home. A cat rescuer I know, gave me Dr Laura Allisons’s number. From the moment I called Dr Laura until Potter’s last moment exactly 4 days later, Dr Laura gave me so much emotional support and veterinary guidance about his diagnosis. Because of Dr Laura Allison, I was able to calm down and have a few more peaceful, quality days with my beloved Potter. Dr Laura made herself available by phone for any questions during this difficult time, a time when pet parents are grief stricken and not sure of what the right time is, and where things can change suddenly. She would be available at any time for humane euthanasia. On Potter’s last day, Dr Laura came to my home. She was unbelievably patient and compassionate as we spent time on the patio helping Potter to transition. Afterwards, she wrapped Potter in a beautiful blanket and took him away to the crematorium. This experience was so different from sitting in a vet office with a doctor who is rushed. I am so grateful to Dr Laura’s support in helping me make and time this painful decision, and for making the process loving and peaceful. I was also able to get his ashes back about 5 days later.

  •  I had to call Dr Laura because I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life. She explained to me everything, making sure I had full understanding of the process and what would happen. This was extremely helpful as I truly didn't know what to expect. All I knew is I was losing my best friend. When the time came Dr. Laura showed my family (2 legged and 4 legged) such respect and dignity. Her heart is truly all about helping families in this terrible time. I can't really say enough good things about her. From Lily, Tanya, and I....thank you for taking Auger over the rainbow bridge for us.

  • I first found out about Dr. Laura in 2012. I had moved here from NYC about 4 years earlier and was fortunate enough to have had the home hospice experience with another pet there. I knew from that first time that I would never go through such a thing any other way than with home hospice. I continue to be so very grateful that it turned out to be Dr. Laura who came to my home. She has been there for me with every loss, and for many of my friends who were not even aware of such an option. If I have just a question, or a dilemma, I know I can trust her heart and her wisdom to guide me through or to the best approach. Knowing she is here and that I can trust her with the lives of my children, I am able to have that peace of mind that is so vital to having a beloved pet. It's that one part that makes a responsible pet parent, and to know that I can uphold that responsibility means everything. Thank you Dr. Laura and Dog Bless You.

  • Our 9yr old cat Bananas was diagnosed with late stage, widespread cancer With only a few weeks to live. We did at-home hospice care until it started to get close to time to let him go. We knew we wanted him to have at-home send off. Our vet recommended another doctor, but they were not available. Dr. Laura was recommended on that vets website and I am so grateful we found her. She started with an in-depth consultation of what to watch for to know when its time, and was available day & night for my questions as Bananas got worse. She also offered great medical advice for easing his suffering. She was available last minute when Bananas took his last turn for the worst and came to us at 7am. The euthanasia was socially distanced, outdoors and very safe, which is important to my high-risk family. Dr Laura was the most professional and compassionate person you could ask for. She took Bananas and his favorite monkey away in a beautiful, cozy box and I had no doubt that he was treated respectfully every step of the way to the crematorium and finally back home. I can’t thank her enough for making such a difficult situation as comfortable for us as possible.

  • I cannot express my gratitude enough to Dr. Laura for her empathy, kindness and compassion in helping my sweet Puffy cross over the rainbow bridge. Puffy was my kitty for 19 1/2 years and deserved to be treated special and Dr. Laura did so and more, more than I could ever have expected, especially in these trying times and having to work around the pandemic conditions. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

  • Dr. Laura is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. She was very sweet and caring, and she treated Nemo as if he were her own. There's no one else I would've wanted to help Nemo cross over.
